Car falls off jack, kills Rhawnhurst man

A Rhawnhurst man was killed on Sunday when his car fell off a jack and crushed him.

Philadelphia police did not release the identity of the victim, who was 64. The man was working on the car behind his house on the 1900 block of Stanwood St. at about 2:42 p.m. when the vehicle fell on top of him, police said. Paramedics took the victim to Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus, where he died less than an hour later. ••
