Police seek flashers in unrelated incidents

Two flashers may be on the loose in Northeast Philadelphia.

A pair of seemingly unrelated incidents of indecent exposure occurred in the area on Nov. 13, one involving an 11-year-old boy victim and the other, a 24-year-old woman.

The boy was walking on the 7000 block of Vandike St. in Tacony on his way to school at about 7:30 a.m. when a man drove past him twice, then pulled up beside him and exposed his genitals. The flasher then drove off at a high rate of speed, police said. He was described as black, in his 30s, with a dark complexion, short black and curly hair, brown eyes and a black dress shirt. He drove a white and silver vehicle, possibly a Cadillac, with several dents and a Pennsylvania tag containing “JQ.” He was last seen traveling northbound on Vandike Street from Tyson Avenue.

Later at about 3:35 p.m., the 24-year-old woman was running in Pennypack Park on the trail between Verree and Pine roads when a man jumped out from behind a tree and exposed his genitals while making harassing gestures, police said. He was described as white, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build, blue jeans and a hoodie in multiple shades of gray. He fled in an unknown direction.
