A 69-year-old Somerton man was struck by an auto at 6 p.m. Monday as he crossed Cottman Avenue and later died at Aria Health’s Torresdale campus, police said.
William Blackman of the 300 block of Byberry Road was running across Cottman in the middle of the block near Oakland Street when he was hit, police said. The driver, a 55-year-old man from the 1500 block of Alcott Street, remained on the scene and was not charged, police said. ••
