The Mayfair Civic Association recently presented awards to the three winning families in the annual Mayfair Christmas Decoration Contest. Sixty neighborhood homeowners entered the contest. A panel of community leaders and businesspeople, including representatives from the Northeast Times, judged each decorated home on a scale of one to 12, representing the 12 days of Christmas.
The presenters included Donny Smith, president of the MCA; Joe DeFelice, chairman of the Mayfair Community Development Corporation; Lisa Greco, owner of Bellalisa Hair Studio; Mike Scotese, owner of Grey Lodge Pub; and Bill Kenny, reporter for the Northeast Times.
The winners were the Costanzo family of 7411 Brous Ave., the Cortese family of 7816 Lexington Ave. and the Gerace family of 3513 Shelmire Ave. Winners received commemorative lawn signs and prizes from Torresdale Flowers, 215 Inkwell, Perzel Insurance, Sharon Owens State Farm, Mayfair Shop n Bag, Mike Fitzpatrick Keller Williams, Aztec Signs, Grey Lodge Pub, Bellalisa and Mayfair CDC.
