One killed, one wounded in Frankford robbery

A man was killed and a woman wounded by gunfire during an apparent robbery at a house in Frankford on Sunday, Philadelphia police say.

Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 1500 block of Adams Ave. on Sunday morning. Police did not disclose the time of the call. The officers found Terrance Solomon, 35, of the 900 block of W. Cheltenham Ave., inside the house with wounds of the head and face. He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Police also found a 31-year-old woman who had been wounded in the head, chest and arm. She reportedly was hospitalized at Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. Authorities have not disclosed her identity.

Police say they suspect robbery as the motive, but they have not disclosed how many crooks were involved or their descriptions. There have been no arrests. ••
