Two armed robbers forced their way into a Tacony man’s home and stole $3,500 cash from him early Sunday, police say.
The bandits attacked the victim, 50, as he was arriving home on the 6600 block of Edmund St. and had just unlocked his door. They forced their way into the property and demanded money at gunpoint. That’s when the victim surrendered the cash. The victim’s son, 23, was also home at the time, but no injuries were reported.
The robbers fled in an unknown direction. One was described as Hispanic and a Spanish speaker, about 25 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. He has tattoos on the side of his neck and wore a black jacket, black hat, blue jeans and white sneakers. The other robber was also described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall and in his mid-20s. He wore dark clothing. ••
