Northeast sisters have babies hours apart

Seeing double: Sisters Shannon Lynch and Melissa Panto both gave birth on Jan. 19.

Two sisters from the Northeast gave birth to girls five hours apart on Jan. 19 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook.

On that day, Shannon Lynch, of West Mayfair, was admitted to Holy Redeemer to induce labor a week after her original due date.

While she was there, Melissa Panto, her sister, came to visit; but then she began experiencing contractions of her own.

Melissa, of Bell’s Corner, left the hospital, but returned shortly thereafter and delivered her own baby.

Vaida, daughter of Shannon and Jason Lynch, was born at 3:11 p.m.

Avery, daughter of Melissa and Damian Panto, was born at 8:30 p.m. ••
