A man with a distinctive scar on his face and an unusual sense of style robbed a Parkwood convenience store on Jan. 14, according to Philadelphia police.
In addition to the facial scar, which police described as “dark colored,” the crook wore dark sunglasses with a tag hanging from them during the crime, which occurred at 7-Eleven, 3224 Byberry Road. Police say the robber entered the business at about 11:45 p.m., placed his hand inside his jacket as if he had a gun and demanded money from a 59-year-old man employee. With cash in hand, the robber ran westbound on Byberry Road.
Police described the robber as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds. In addition to the sunglasses, he wore a black knit hat with yellow text on the front, a gray hoodie, a flannel shirt, a black jacket, blue jeans and black gloves.
