A street corner argument sparked a shooting in which two men were wounded in Tacony on Friday night. The gunfire erupted shortly after 7 p.m. in the 6600 block of Hegerman St., according to Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum of Northeast Detectives. A car occupied by two men pulled up to the curb outside a pizza shop and second-floor apartment. A pedestrian approached the car to speak to the occupants. The conversation escalated into an argument.
Suddenly, the pedestrian pulled out a gun, pointed it into the car and shot both motorists. An 18-year-old victim suffered a wound of the back, while a 20-year-old suffered a shoulder wound. The elder man was treated at a local hospital and released, while the younger one was hospitalized overnight, Rosenbaum said.
The shooter fled the area in a blue Honda Accord. Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call 215–686-TIPS or text the information to PPDTIP. ••
