The heist occurred at about 3 a.m. at 6935 Castor Ave. when the robber approached a cashier, flashed the butt of a handgun in his waistband and stated, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” police said.
The clerk, a 27-year-old man, opened three registers. The bandit fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber was described as black, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, 210 pounds with a goatee and mustache, a black T-shirt and a black baseball cap with a white towel draped over his scalp. He also wore dark jeans that were rolled at the cuffs.
