After an absence of almost 12 years, the Roosevelt Mall Flea Market is returning every Sunday, starting July 5.
The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is the same, in the mall parking lot along the Cottman Avenue side, between Dunkin’ Donuts and Wendy’s.
Vendors will be featuring antiques, collectibles, vintage jewelry, clothing and accessories, glassware, pottery and household goods. No new merchandise or sports-related clothing or equipment will be allowed.
The market is being produced by “Phila Flea Markets,” which has been organizing Vintage Flea Markets in Center City for 30 years.
For 20 years, the mall hosted the flea market along one of its Cottman Avenue entrances. That, though, came to an end on Oct. 26, 2003.
A spokeswoman for the company that owned the mall at the time said, “We no longer think a flea market is in the best interest of our tenants and existing customers.”
