Three robbers invaded a Wissinoming home, held a woman and her daughter at gunpoint and made off with $15,000 cash on July 7, according to police.
The crime occurred at about 4 p.m. on the 5600 block of Tulip St. when the bandits pulled an air conditioner from a second-floor window and climbed into the residence. The gunmen forced the daughter to open furniture drawers until they found an envelope containing the cash. Police did not disclose the ages of the victims.
The robbers also grabbed two cell phones and an iPad before fleeing the property. They got into a red Ford Expedition that was waiting with a getaway driver at Sanger and Hegerman streets. The four conspirators were last seen traveling westbound on Sanger.
Using the license plate data, police traced the vehicle to a house on the 3800 block of J St. in Juniata, where SWAT officers searched the property, but did not find the suspects.
Victims described the robbers as a black man, 18 to 20 years old, and two Hispanic men, 18 to 21 years old. ••
