Resources available for high school seniors

Philadelphia Futures is offering two new resources to support Philadelphia’s college-bound students.

The Summer Supplement to Philadelphia Futures’ Step Up to College Guide has been designed specifically for high school seniors. The supplement guides students through the nine critical steps - — such as preparing for the SAT, visiting college campuses and writing application essays — they need to take during the summer months prior to their senior year of high school.

Limited, printed copies of the summer supplement are available at no cost. Students should also have a copy of the 2014–2015 edition of the Step Up to College Guide to fully explore the nine steps outlined in the supplement.

Copies of both the supplement and the guide can be obtained by contacting Philadelphia Futures at [email protected] or 215–790–1666, Ext. 410.

A PDF of the summer supplement also can be downloaded from the Step Up to College website at www.stepuptocollege.org

The Philadelphia Futures Summer Hotline is now open to all Philadelphia students. Students can email their questions about the college application process to [email protected], and a Philadelphia Futures staff member will answer them directly. The Summer Hotline will be open through August.

For more information, contact Holly Mantle at 215–790–1666, Ext. 422 or [email protected] ••
