The Corvette Club of the Delaware Valley is sponsoring its third annual ‘Vettes for Vets & Airborne Day on the grounds of Katie O’Donnell’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, 4501 Woodhaven Road, on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Aug. 16.
The purpose of the event is to collect personal items such as razor blades, toiletries, phone cards and writing materials for troops overseas.
This year’s event will feature over 75 Corvettes and numerous muscle cars on display. An array of military vehicles will be on site, with an opportunity to take photos.
Recruiting tables will provide information on local military chapters, such as the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, Vietnam Veterans Association and Coast Guard.
