Police baseball game is Aug. 28

The Philadelphia Blue Sox police baseball team has a score to settle and it’s for a great cause when they take on the New York Finest team on Friday, Aug. 28, at the Trenton Thunder’s Arm & Hammer Park. The game will raise funds for the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with the first pitch slated for 7. A fireworks show will follow the game.

“We want to do something special for the families of the fallen officers,” said Ofc. Billy Killian, founder and general manager of the Blue Sox.

Arm & Hammer Park is at 1 Thunder Road on the Trenton waterfront. It’s a 25-minute drive from FOP Lodge 5. Tickets are available at the stadium and at the Lodge 5 office, 11630 Caroline Road. Visit philapolicebluesox.com or call 267–688–7212 for information. ••
