Thanks for nothing, Joe
I suppose the fact that we all needed you wasn’t enough for you to indulge us. You were our only hope for responsible leadership in the White House. You were the one with the integrity and grit to not only lead the country, but to get the attention of that thug in Moscow, and that doofus pup in North Korea. You are a total disappointment to the entire country, Joe, not just the Democrats. You left us with this pseudo-feminist who is not endeared by anyone who favors honesty or strength of character.
Trump has already said that he’d much rather have her to run against than you, and I believe that he would actually chew her up and spit her out. You, on the other hand, are the only one who could match his “Shoot From The Hip” style and batter him with honesty and solid vision for the future.
Eight years ago, we were all disappointed that John McCain chose that caustic woman from Alaska as a running mate, and Obama stepped up and chose you and won the White House. You were the one feared by the Republicans. Hillary is just too easy for them.
Do you know what you have done, Joe? You have given us all the proverbial shaft.

Don’t support Fetterman
deological gobbledygook.
I don’t know what else to call it.
As John Fetterman, a Democratic mayor from Western Pennsylvania, announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, according to a Times article, he said this:
“You can sum up why we have to take on this fight right now in just one word: inequality. It’s inequality in income. Inequality in wealth. Inequality in housing. Inequality in opportunity. Inequality in health¬care, even inequality in the air we breathe.”
Wow.
He wants to overcome inequality in the air we breathe?
I’d like to see how this drowsy dreamer intends to perform that trick. In the meantime, it’s clear he just gave the terms “big government” and “totalitarianism” whole ‘nother meanings.
Heck, I’ll go even further: I think he just started a brand new literary genre — ideological fiction writing.
Let us hope the voters of this state fetter this man before he’s able to make his vision a grim reality.

Violating her beliefs?
I would like to respond to the letter written by Mel Flitter.
Kim Davis isn’t forcing anyone to follow her religious beliefs. She is just following her conscience. Forcing her to go against it would be violating her religious beliefs.
No law is neutral. Every law imposes some form of morality on society.
The question is not whether the public will allow religion to impose its morality on America. Morailty will be imposed. The real question is whose morality will be legislated.
Seventy-five years ago, Hitler and his government decided that Jews were evil and had to be eliminated.
Sixty years ago, homosexuals were being locked up because of their sexual orientation.
Forty-five years ago, pro-life demonstrators were being locked up.
Now, Kim Davis is being locked up.
So, whose morality will be imposed?

Great festival in 8th
What a great day at the 8th Police District, Red Lion and Academy roads, on Oct. 24.
Many families enjoyed a day full of fun and fear — with a haunted house, plus face painting, a photo booth, goodie bags, cotton candy, free yogurt and pretzels. There were also fire engines to climb into, police officers to greet, kiddy fingerprinting, games with prizes, raffles for prize baskets, a best costume contest, pumpkin decorating and judging, etc.
Volunteers and community businesses and organizations were responsible for this greatness.
See you next year!
