Thank you for your service: The Holmesburg Civic Association last week held its annual holiday party. Members honored former president Rich Frizell, who stepped down to fight throat cancer. Frizell (right) received a plaque for his years of volunteer service. He was joined by (from left) civic co-presidents Chris Lorenzo and Renee Cohen, vice president Joe Kruvczuk and treasurer Barb Kleschick. Holmesburg Civic Association will meet again on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7:15 p.m. at Holmesburg Recreation Center, at Rhawn and Ditman streets. TOM WARING / TIMESÂ PHOTO
