Kenney looking for fire commish

In a statement, Mayor-elect Jim Kenney last week announced that his transition team has been conducting a national search to identify commissioners for the prison system, fire department and human services department.

“The search process is going well, and we look forward to welcoming these new commissioners to the city in the early months of my administration,” said Kenney, who takes office on Monday.

In the meantime, Mike Resnick will serve as acting prisons commissioner. Jessica Shapiro will serve as acting commissioner of the Department of Human Services. Derrick Sawyer will serve as acting fire commissioner. ••
