The nonprofit Mayfair Community Development Corp. is looking for an executive director.
The mission of the organization is to spearhead economic revitalization efforts in Mayfair, in conjunction and in collaboration with the newly formed Mayfair Business Improvement District, and to develop activities and programs that enhance the residential community in Mayfair, including a cleaning and greening program and a home conservatorship program.
The executive director handles all day-to-day administration as well as the coordination of programming and long-term planning efforts, and will work with a board of directors.
The director will coordinate the planning and operation of special events such as a farmers market, monthly festival markets and holiday events, and will assist other Mayfair organizations in their events, including the Fallen Heroes Run, May Fair and Thanksgiving Parade.
He or she will attend meetings of the Mayfair Civic Association, Mayfair Business Association and Mayfair BID, and work with the city Department of Licenses and Inspections and other agencies.
Other obligations include coordinating with the CDC’s Cleaning and Greening manager and acting as community liaison to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The salary is in the range of $35,000 to $45,000 per year.
