The Northeast GED Center, at 1928 Cottman Ave., will hold an open house on Thursdays, March 3 and 10, for its new English as a Second Language program.
The center is accepting applications for the program, which will begin in March. The program is for people who want to learn how to read and speak English, pronounce words and learn citizenship skills.
Classes will be held Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Students will learn the alphabet, sounds, word recognition and the history of the United States, as it applies to citizenship training.
The class is for people of all languages. Registration and a book fee cost $30. Classes will be $75 a month for up to three months.
