Police districts in the Northeast will host a series of “Coffee with a Cop” open house events in the coming days, including three sessions Friday, March 4, at separate locations.
From 8 to 9 a.m., citizens of the 8th district can stop into Dunkin Donuts, 2998 Welsh Road (just north of Holme Circle), to speak informally with an officer about public safety issues in the community. No appointment is needed. There will be no public speeches. The coffee is free.
Also on Friday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., the 15th district will host Coffee with a Cop at the Four Seasons Diner, 2811 Cottman Ave. Officers will be there to answer questions from the community. Then from 10 a.m. to noon, citizens will be able to speak with 15th district officers at the Mayfair Community Center, 2900 Saint Vincent St. The officers will distribute flyers containing public safety bulletins.
On Tuesday, March 15, the 7th district will host its next Coffee with a Cop at 10 a.m. at Dunkin Donuts, 9834 Bustleton Ave. Meanwhile, the 7th district’s monthly Police Service Area-2 meeting will be held on Monday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at Randi’s restaurant, 1619 Grant Ave. ••
