Nancy Hesse, interim CEO at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center, 1331 E. Wyoming Ave. was recognized on the Becker’s Hospital Review annual list of hospital and health system “Women Leaders to Know.”
The list includes 130 female leaders from across the country. The editorial staff at Becker’s Hospital Review selected the finalists based on an evaluation of their management skills and career accomplishments after receiving and reviewing a record number of nominations for the most recent list.
“I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition,” Hesse said. “It is truly a privilege to lead an extraordinary team of nurses who inspire me and countless others through their service to our patients. Furthermore, I feel grateful to be part of a health care organization in which patient-empowered, high-quality care is at the forefront of its mission.”
In addition to serving as interim CEO, Hesse is responsible for overseeing nursing leadership across all five CTCA hospitals. She has coordinated with best nursing practices in operations, patient safety and quality care outcomes. Further, Hesse advocates for nurses in the organization as the first nursing executive to sit on the national CTCA board. ••
