Boscov’s will welcome the top executives of more than 100 major companies to their Neshaminy Mall store on April 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for its VIP Day event. These guests will trade their business suits for aprons and pitch in for a day of demonstrations, exhibits, food sampling and free gifts.
VIP Day is an opportunity for customers to meet and talk to the people who make the products they use. The best-known brands in small appliances, housewares, china, gifts, casual furniture, bed and bath linens, draperies, home décor and crystal companies will be among those represented at this semi-annual event.
“It’s a win/win situation for everybody involved,” said Jim Boscov, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boscov’s Department Store. “Consumers don’t often have the chance to tell the manufacturer what they like or don’t like about his or her products. Our customers love the chance to meet and talk to these people.
“The ones who really enjoy our VIP Day however, are the executives of the companies who participate, because they get to hear first hand what their consumers, the people who buy and use their products, really think about those products,” Boscov continued. “They kind of enjoy putting on an apron and showing off their skills in the kitchen or in the work room.”
As part of the VIP celebration, Boscov’s will host Lester Gribetz, president of the Lenox Corporation. Guests are invited to meet Gribetz and see a selection of the Presidential China Collection. Each presidential family adds their own taste of Lenox China to the White House.
The housewares department will feature Chef Joyce, host of Fresh Start with Joyce, author of two cookbooks and a celebrated wellness chef and fitness coach. Also in the housewares department will be Chef Shereen Pavlides, host of Cook this with Shereen and contributing author for A&E Network’s Lifetime Moms.
The domestics area will feature a “Spin to Win” discount wheel. The toy department will include Meccano by Spinmaster, Bunchems Creation and Melissa and Doug make and take events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a Borrow Max Motorcycles demonstration at the mall entrance.
The Neshaminy store welcomes Mo’ne Davis from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the watch department. Davis is the first girl to earn a win and pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history. Meet Davis and register to win a JoyJoy watch Limited Edition Mo’ne Davis Capsule Pack during her appearance.
