Elizabethtown College recently announced that Jessica Fein, a first-year Music Therapy student, is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. First-year students, who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class, are invited to become members of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national organization founded in 1924.

• Samantha Frost, a senior at Philadelphia Academy Charter School, has earned the Veronica Founder’s Scholarship to study Biology.

Shirley Hutson has been named to the dean’s list at Ohio Christian University College of Adult and Graduate Studies. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and be enrolled in at least 12 graded semester hours.

Local students who participated in a sport at Lebanon Valley College include Rachel Jo Kelly, a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School who is pursuing a doctor of physical therapy; and Caitlyn Berdel, a graduate of St. Hubert who is pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education.

Matthew Kelly was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Kelly was initiated at Arcadia University. He is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership. ••
