St. Albert the Great Elementary School students last Friday afternoon participated in the Race for Education, the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Students walked a route through the neighborhood, ending at the school. The community supported the walk by sponsoring and making donations for the children.

The funds raised by the event will be used for technology, field trips, assemblies and educational supplies.

St. Albert the Great is located at 214 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley, and draws students from Bustleton and Pine Valley. ••
