Police seek Frankford shooter

A shooting on a Frankford street on April 29 left one man wounded and police searching for clues about the unidentified culprit.

The gunfire erupted at about 12:30 a.m. on the 4700 block of Frankford Ave. When police got there, they found a 44-year-old man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics took him to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The victim was not cooperative with investigators, police said, but witnesses said that the assailant fled the scene in a gold-colored car with a broken driver’s side window and a child safety seat in the back seat. Witnesses saw a man and a woman inside the car.

A short time later, police stopped a car fitting that description on the 1700 block of Margaret St., but did not have enough evidence to make an arrest. To report additional information about the crime, call 215–686–3153. ••
