SEPTA delay alerts now available via text or push notifications

SEPTA delay and service interruption alerts are now available from the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management through the ReadyPhiladelphia notification system. Alerts will provide SEPTA riders with an avenue to stay informed and to receive real-time information on delays and service interruptions.

SEPTA’s control center sends out travel alerts and transit delay information through the agency’s app, website and Twitter feed. The ReadyPhiladelphia partnership adds another vehicle for information-sharing and creates a one-stop source for all emergency-related alerts and notifications.

Riders can choose which SEPTA services to monitor, including regional rail, the Market-Frankford El, Broad Street subway, trolley lines, Norristown High Speed Line and bus routes. Alerts can be restricted based on time of day and days of the week. Alerts can be sent by text or push notifications through the ContactBridge mobile app. Visit www.phila.gov/ready or www.septa.org/ready to register. ••
