Car vandalism video released

Surveillance photo

A teenage boy may be responsible for vandalizing nine cars on a Holmesburg block earlier this month.

Police are trying to identify the suspected culprit, who was depicted in surveillance video. Police were called to the 8000 block of Erdrick St. to investigate the damage shortly before 8 a.m. on May 14. They did not specify when the vandalism may have occurred. But the video shows a boy walking past the cars and reaching out with an unknown object to scratch them. He was described as black, 12 to 15 years old, wearing a green T-shirt with the number 13 on the back, red pants and dark shoes.
