An unknown gunman shot and killed a 20-year-old Frankford man around the corner from his home last Thursday afternoon.
Police have no description of a suspect and are unsure of the motive. The shooting occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at Bridge and Charles streets. Officers found the victim, Daniel Martinez, lying in the 5300 block of Charles St with wounds of the head and stomach. Martinez, of the 1700 block of Scattergood St., was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale campus, where he was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m.
