Man robs bank inside Acme supermarket in Far Northeast

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the robbery on Monday of the Citizens Bank branch located inside the Acme supermarket at 3200 Red Lion Road.

At about 11:27 a.m., the man entered the bank and passed a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank.

The suspect is white, in his early 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an average build. He wore a black baseball cap and jacket, blue jeans, dark-colored gloves, sunglasses and sneakers.

This suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to call the FBI at 215–418–4000. There is a reward for information leading to this suspect’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
