Stephanie is a 1- to 2-year-old, 46-pound pit bull mix who is in the care of Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. Her tag number is A32190429.

The dog is very sweet, takes treats gently and is a bit shy when first meeting people. She was brought to the shelter when her former family could no longer afford her, but they report she is crate trained and has lived with other dogs and kids of all ages.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Trio of terrific cats needs a home

Bruce, Dora and Spidey are a lovable trio of siblings who are very sweet, energetic and playful. They were rescued from a life outdoors and are in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.

The 4-month-old cats are quite snuggly with people, love to wrestle with each other and get along well with other cats and children. They are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
