Two men were wounded, including one fatally, during a shooting at a basketball court in Frankford on Aug. 12.
Police from the 15th district were called to the 1700 block of Meadow St., at Hawthorne Street, at about 10:30 p.m., where they found Kyheem Pittman, 24, lying on the court and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A second 27-year-old man was nearby with wounds of the back and abdomen.
Paramedics rushed Pittman to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:53 p.m. He was a resident of the 6300 block of Marsden St. in Tacony. The second victim’s identity was not released.
Police took him to the same hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Investigators believe the motive for the shooting was a robbery. No suspect information is available. ••
