Surveillance photo
Federal and local authorities seek the public’s help in identifying two bank robbers who struck separately in the Northeast in August and September.
The FBI last week released surveillance photos from both heists. The first occurred Aug. 25 at about 11 a.m. at Republic Bank, 8764 Frankford Ave., when a man showed a threatening demand note to a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was last seen on foot northbound on Frankford Ave. He was described as a black man in his mid-20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, thin, with shoulder-length dreadlocks, a dark long-sleeve shirt, dark tan pants and a white baseball cap with unknown lettering.
The second hold-up occurred at about 8 p.m. on Sept. 29 at TD Bank, 3930 Woodhaven Road. The robber handed a demand note to a teller, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. He was described as white, in his 30s or 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin, with light-colored eyes and a deep voice. He wore a black mask concealing most of his face, a black hoodie, black pants and black gloves.
