Middle-aged woman holds up Wawa

Surveillance photo

Philadelphia police are searching for an unidentified middle-aged woman who robbed the Wawa at Roosevelt Boulevard and Rhawn Street on Saturday.

The woman arrived at the store at about 10 a.m. and walked to the refrigerator section before approaching the checkout counter and stating to a 23-year-old male cashier, “Give me all your money. If you say anything I’ll shoot you.”

The woman did not display a gun, but the employee took money from a cash register and placed it in a plastic Wawa bag. The robber fled with the bag and was last seen heading south on the Boulevard. She was described as black, 45–55 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, a black head wrap, a red coat, dark blue pants and white sneakers.
