Crime Log: May 3, 2017

The Northeast Times provides an overview of crimes reported to the four police districts in the Northeast. The details are based on reports compiled by the Northeast Detectives division of the Philadelphia Police Department.

April 3 through 10

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

• There were six robberies reported in the district, including four that occurred in the street at 700 Garland St. (April 7), 6300 Large St. (April 8), 5600 Summerdale Ave. (April 7) and 6700 Castor Ave. (April 4). Additional robberies occurred at a business at 6400 Castor Ave. (April 6) and a residence at 7200 Horrocks St. (April 3).

• Nine aggravated assaults were reported during the period, including four that occurred at residences at 6600 Large St. (April 4), 5200 Montour St. (April 5), 1200 Robbins St. (April 7) and 7700 Oxford Ave. (April 6). Three more aggravated assaults occurred in the street at Knorr and Frontenac streets (April 9), 7900 Langdon St. (April 6) and 6400 Rising Sun Ave. (April 9), while two occurred at unspecified types of locations at 7700 Oxford Ave. (April 6) and 6600 Hasbrook Ave. (April 6).

• Three burglaries were reported to police, one of which occurred at a residence at 7700 Oxford Ave. (April 6). Two more occurred at unspecified types of properties at 7700 Oxford Ave. (April 6) and 6600 Hasbrook Ave. (April 6).

• Fifty thefts were reported in the district, including 17 at businesses, four in the street, one at a bank and one at an unspecified type of location. There also were eight auto thefts, three auto tag thefts and 16 thefts from autos.

7th Police District

• One robbery was reported in the district. It occurred in the street at 8200 Bustleton Ave. on April 9.

• There were no aggravated assaults reported in the district during the period.

• There were six burglaries reported during the period, including four that involved residences at 12000 Sewell Road (April 8), 1000 Edison Ave. (April 5 and 8) and 200 Nandina Plaza (April 4). Burglaries also occurred at a business at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd. (April 3) and a school at 10100 Bustleton Ave. (April 3).

• Nine thefts were reported to police, including one each at a business, at a school, in the street and at a residence. There also were one auto theft and four thefts from autos.

8th Police District

• One robbery was reported in the district. It occurred in the street at 10800 Keswick Road on April 6.

• There were seven aggravated assaults reported to police, six of which occurred in city prisons at 8100 State Road (April 4, 8, 9 and 10) and 8300 State Road (two on April 6). One more aggravated assault occurred in the street at 9200 Delaware Ave. on April 9.

• Five burglaries were reported during the period, four of which involved residences at 2800 Michael Road (April 7), 9300 Ashton Road (April 8), 8400 Torresdale Ave. (April 7) and 9200 Wooden Bridge Road (April 6), while one involved a medical facility at 2600 Holme Ave. (April 4).

• There were 25 thefts reported in the district, including nine at businesses, one at a residence, one in the street, five auto thefts and nine thefts from autos.

15th Police District

• Among 13 robberies reported to police, 11 occurred in the street at 7700 Frankford Ave. (April 3), 4500 Unruh Ave. (April 3), 1200 Bridge St. (April 5), 7400 Edmund St. (April 6), 4900 Knorr St. (April 7), 4200 Frankford Ave. (April 8), 3500 Vista St. (April 4), Aramingo Avenue and Margaret Street (April 5), Marple Street and Torresdale Avenue (April 7), 6300 Walker St. (April 7) and 5200 Frankford Ave. (April 9). Two more robberies occurred at businesses at 7300 Crabtree St. (April 4) and 5000 Frankford Ave. (April 6).

• Twelve aggravated assaults were reported in the district, eight of which occurred in the street at 4900 Charles St. (April 8), 2000 Bridge St. (April 4), 5700 Hegerman St. (April 8), 1900 Herbert St. (April 3), 4400 Frankford Ave. (three on April 4) and 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. (April 8). Two more cases were reported at residences at 4500 Stiles St. (April 4) and 4700 Oakland St. (April 7), while one occurred at a school at 3000 Ryan Ave. (April 3) and one at a medical facility at 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. (April 8).

• There were 17 burglaries reported during the period, including 13 at residences at 4100 Magee Ave. (April 3), 1100 Allengrove St. (April 3), 4500 Salmon St. (April 9), 2000 Pratt St. (April 6), 1500 Howell St. (April 7), 4900 Saul St. (April 4 and 9), 2000 Carver St. (April 4), 4200 Paul St. (April 4), 3500 Decatur St. (April 5), 6300 Algard St. (April 7), 5200 Akron St. (April 6) and 4400 Penn St. (April 9). Additional burglaries occurred at two businesses at 5400 Akron St. (April 3) and 6100 Torresdale Ave. (April 3), as well as a school at 7300 Torresdale Ave. (April 9) and a self-storage facility at 7400 State Road (April 9).

• Sixty-one thefts were reported in the district, including 10 at businesses, nine in the street, eight at residences and one at a school. There also were 16 auto thefts, five auto tag thefts and 12 thefts from autos during the period. ••
