A 27-year-old Castor Gardens woman exited her bedroom one recent morning and found herself staring face-to-face at a strange man. Police today released surveillance video of the home invasion.
It happened at about 10:21 a.m. on April 27 on the 7000 block of Large Street. The victim’s front door was open and her screen door unlocked when the unidentified intruder knocked on the door, peered inside, then entered the house.
After walking through the living room, he went upstairs. As he reached the top step, the victim emerged from her bedroom. The intruder fled downstairs and calmly exited the house. The woman was uninjured. Nothing was stolen.
The burglar is black with a black beard. He wore a blue baseball cap with a red brim and numbers emblazoned across the front. He also wore a gray hoodie with a blue robot design on the front, gray shorts and white sneakers. He carried a dark backpack.
