Joe Khan, a Bustleton native and a Democratic candidate for district attorney, will be stopping by one of his favorite eateries for some last-minute campaigning.
Khan will be visiting the Dining Car, 8826 Frankford Ave. in Holmesburg, at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant is owned by his former neighbor, Nancy Morozin.
The candidate started his day by having breakfast voting at a Mount Airy diner, then voting at a Roxborough recreation center. He continued at Relish restaurant in Oak Lane and the Famous 4th Street Deli in Queen Village before heading to the Dining Car.
Khan will watch the returns from a friend’s home after the polls close at 8 p.m.
As for the Democratic primary for city controller, incumbent Alan Butkovitz will watch the returns from Randi’s Restaurant and Bar, 1619 Grant Ave., in Grant Plaza II in Bustleton. Challenger Rebecca Rhynhart will be at Strangelove’s, in Center City. ••
