As a full board member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, I commend state Rep. Gene DiGirolamo for his public opposition to Gov. Wolf’s recommendation that the department of drugs and alcohol be swallowed up into a large state bureaucracy.
When the opioid epidemic is so prominent in our state, now is not the time to be eliminating services or supervision. Rep. DiGirolamo understands this and is a strong advocate for retaining the services. All of us at Clean and Sober Broadcasting, the nonprofit that works to educate the public about addiction and recovery, applaud Rep. DiGirolamo for his efforts.
