An argument at a Lower Mayfair nightclub sparked a shooting early Sunday that left a 31-year-old man with critical wounds of the stomach and leg, police said.
Investigators believe a fight inside Lyrics Lounge at 6527 Roosevelt Blvd. spilled outside when private security staff ejected people from the club at about 1 a.m. The dispute continued in the Roosevelt Plaza parking lot.
Police released no information about the shooter. The victim’s name was not disclosed. Police rushed him to Aria-Jefferson Health’s Torresdale campus, where he was listed in critical condition. No weapon was recovered at the scene.
Detectives were awaiting a statement from the victim as of Tuesday afternoon. ••
