The event at Carmella Playground will advocate against street violence.
The Block Bowl will take place on Saturday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Carmella Playground, 2100 Wakeling St.
The stop-the-violence co-ed flag football tournament is sponsored by The Block Gives Back, a group of local young people.

The day will include speakers advocating against street violence, a disc jockey, food, vendors, children’s entertainment, live entertainment and raffle items.
Proceeds will benefit the Jack Costello Boxing Club.
Teams will consist of seven to 12 players.
The rain date is Aug. 5.
