Marc Collazzo formerly served as chief of staff to Rep. John Taylor.
Marc Collazzo, former chief of staff to state Rep. John Taylor, began a new job on Monday as executive director for advancement and engagement at Pope John Paul II High School, in Royersford, Montgomery County.
Collazzo is a 1986 graduate of George Washington High School and has a 13-year-old son, Jarett. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University in 1990, then a law degree from Widener in 1993.
While in college, he worked for state Rep. George Kenney.
Professionally, he was a clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas J. Rueter and became a policy analyst for City Councilman Frank Rizzo in 2009. In 2010, he was the Republican candidate in the 170th Legislative District, Kenney’s former seat.
In 2011, he became chief of staff for Taylor, a job he held until moving on to Pope John Paul II..
Collazzo is former Republican leader of the 58th Ward, and has been a board member for the Mayfair Community Development Corporation and St. Hubert High School. ••
