The lineup has been finalized for the 56th annual Philadelphia Folk Festival, Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 17–20, at Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County.
The festival will feature a campers-only show, hosted by World Cafe’s David Dye, on Thursday. Musical guests will be The National Reserve, Whitehorse and Joan Shelley.
The highlights on Friday will be performances by Old Crow Medicine Show, Samantha Fish, David Amram and The Infamous Stringdusters.
Helen Leicht’s local showcase will be featured on Saturday, along with Graham Nash, The Weight Band with the King Harvest Horns, Runa, John McCutcheon, Sierra Hull, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams and Cry Cry Cry.
The Sunday headliners will be Susan Werner, Taj Mo: The Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’ Band, Tift Merritt, Eric Andersen and Baile An Salsa.
Other acts will include Greg Sover, Jesse Hale Moore, Vita and the Woolf, Jimmy LaFave, Sam Baker, Andy McKee, Harrow Fair, Heather Maloney, The Kennedys, Laura Cortese & the Dance Cards, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Otis Gibbs, Ranky Tanky, Lloyd Spiegel, Bella Hardy, Corin Raymond, Ian Foster, Skip Denenberg, Spuyten Duyvil, Son of Town Hall, the Edge Hill Rounders, Ben Arnold and the 48 Hour Orchestra, Hezekiah Jones, The End of America, Sarah Chodak, Jeremy Aaron, Quentin Callewaert, Bob Beach, Brian Dunne, Brooke Annibale, David Jacobs-Strain, David C. Perry, Heartland Nomads, Jay Smar, Laura Love, North Star Puppets, Queen Esther and Stephen Wade.
Returning to the festival will be Gene Shay, the Great Groove Band, bagpiper Dennis Hangey and the Give and Take Jugglers.
