The event will give out free book bags and haircuts.
Rolling Thunder Skating will host a free event for kids heading back to school Thursday, Aug. 24, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Price of admission is $3. Free book bags will be given out while supplies last, and kids can get free haircuts.

The event will also feature Super Game Trailer, LLC, a mobile video gaming theater that features a wide variety of games for up to 28 players at a time. The theater is inside of a truck and features neon lighting inside.
Haircuts and giveaways are first come, first serve. All admission proceeds benefit Salvation of Sorrows, which provides homeless people with meals, haircuts and more.
The skating rink is located at 7017 Roosevelt Blvd.
