Updates from several local districts.
Aug. 7 through 20
As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.
2nd Police District
• There were 14 robberies reported in the district during the period, including eight that occurred in the street at 1500 Knorr St. (Aug. 8), 1400 Hellerman St. (Aug. 12), 6700 Castor Ave. (Aug. 7), 1600 Tyson Ave. (Aug. 9), 2000 Cottman Ave. (Aug. 10), 800 Anchor St. (Aug. 12), 6200 Frontenac St. (Aug. 18) and 6800 Horrocks St. (Aug. 16). There also were four robberies at businesses at 2300 Cottman Ave. (Aug. 14), 7000 Castor Ave. (Aug. 8 and 20) and 5500 Whitaker Ave. (Aug. 9), as well as two robberies at residences at 1100 Hellerman St. (Aug. 18) and 6000 Summerdale Ave. (Aug. 12).
• Ten aggravated assaults were reported in the district, including seven that occurred in the street at 5800 Summerdale Ave. (Aug. 10), 7400 Bustleton Ave. (two on Aug. 11), 7300 Rising Sun Ave. (Aug. 18), 6200 Trotter St. (Aug. 17), Comly and Frontenac streets (Aug. 11) and 6700 Lynford St. (Aug. 20). There were three more aggravated assaults at residences at 6700 Lynford St. (Aug. 20), 7200 Dungan Road (Aug. 12) and 5500 N. Hill Creek Drive (Aug. 13), according to police.
• All four burglaries reported to police during the period involved residences at 7800 Brier St. (Aug. 11), 7400 Oxford Ave. (Aug. 8), 1000 Afton St. (Aug. 12) and 800 Knorr St. (Aug. 9).
• There were 122 thefts reported in the district, including 42 at businesses, 14 in the street and eight at residences, as well as 24 auto thefts, three auto tag thefts and 31 thefts from autos.
7th Police District
• Two robberies occurred in the district, including one in the street at 13600 Philmont Ave. (Aug. 11) and one at a residence at 8800 Krewstown Road (Aug. 14).
• There were four aggravated assaults reported in the district, including three at residences at 8500 Summerdale Ave. (Aug. 12), 1700 Tracey St. (Aug. 15) and 700 Gorman St. (Aug. 15). One more case occurred in the street at 2000 Grant Ave. (Aug. 11).
• All five burglaries reported to police involved residences at 8200 Jeanes St. (Aug. 13), 600 Charette Road (Aug. 16), 10000 Ferndale St. (Aug. 17), 9800 Haldeman Ave. (Aug. 20) and 2300 Strahle St. (Aug. 10).
• Thirty-nine thefts were reported in the district, including eight at businesses, five in the street and four at residences, along with six auto thefts, one auto tag theft and 15 thefts from autos.
8th Police District
• Among four robberies reported during the period, two occurred in the street at 8000 Cottage St. (Oct. 9) and 4600 Tolbut St. (Aug. 20), while two occurred at businesses at 9400 Academy Road (Oct. 10) and 2900 Welsh Road (Oct. 19).
• Six aggravated assaults were reported to police, including four that occurred in the street at 3000 Holme Ave. (Aug. 20), 9200 James St. (Aug. 7), 9100 Marshall St. (Aug. 10) and 12100 Academy Road (Aug. 12). Aggravated assaults also occurred at a residence at 2800 Welsh Road (Aug. 17) and a prison at 8000 State Road (Aug. 10).
• There were seven burglaries reported in the district, four of which involved residences at 3200 Rhett Road (Aug. 8), 2900 Welsh Road (Aug. 11), 3500 Brookview Road (Aug. 7) and 8600 Glenloch St. (Aug. 17). Burglaries also occurred at two businesses at 9900 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 10) and 9400 Bluegrass Road (Aug. 10), as well as an unspecified type of property at 3600 Glenn St. (Aug. 18).
• There were 78 thefts reported in the district, including 27 at businesses, six at residences, five in the street and one each at a prison, a medical facility and an unspecified type of location. There also were 11 auto thefts, four auto tag thefts and 22 thefts from autos during the period.
15th Police District
• Twenty-three robberies were reported to police, including 17 that occurred in the street at 6600 Erdrick St. (Aug. 7), 1500 Alcott St. (Aug. 7), 7100 Marsden St. (Aug. 8), 7000 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 12), 5900 Bustleton Ave. (Aug. 13), Levick and Battersby streets (Aug. 15), 6900 Edmund St. (Aug. 19), 6300 Bustleton Ave. (Aug. 9), 5800 Keystone St. (Aug. 9), 5200 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 11), 2200 Simon St. (Aug. 14), 3500 Ryan Ave. (Aug. 17), 1500 Van Kirk St. (Aug. 18), 5100 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 19), 3500 Cottman Ave. (Aug. 20), 1500 Church St. (Aug. 7) and Frankford Avenue and Church Street (Aug. 10). Additional robberies occurred at four businesses at 5000 Friendship St. (Aug. 15), 5800 Keystone St. (Aug. 7), 2900 Robbins St. (Aug. 15) and 5000 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 18), as well as a residence at 4700 Shelmire Ave. (Aug. 12) and a bank at 4900 Princeton Ave. (Aug. 14).
• There were 27 aggravated assaults reported during the period, 15 of which occurred in the street at 5400 Eadom St. (Aug. 9), 5400 Rutland St. (Aug. 7), 5200 Oxford Ave. (Aug. 9), 1100 Harrison St. (Aug. 11), 2900 McKinley St. (Aug. 16), 1400 Alcott St. (two on Aug. 19), 6900 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 11), 5000 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 17), 6500 Marsden St. (Aug. 16), 1600 Bridge St. (Aug. 7), 4600 Benner St. (Aug. 8), 5000 Walker St. (Aug. 13), 4900 Princeton Ave. (Aug. 13) and 5700 Charles St. (Aug. 18). Eleven more aggravated assaults occurred at residences at 4300 Devereaux Ave. (Aug. 12), 2000 Wakeling St. (Aug. 12 and 13), 4700 Valley Place (Aug. 15), 4400 Vista St. (Aug. 14), 2200 Kennedy St. (Aug. 9), 3400 Lansing St. (Aug. 10), 5200 Whitaker Ave. (two on Aug. 19), 1900 Wilmot St. (Aug. 7) and 4700 Hartel Ave. (Aug. 10), while one occurred at a business at 4500 Torresdale Ave. (Aug. 13).
• Among 18 burglaries reported to police, 14 involved residences at 1000 Allengrove St. (Aug. 7), 3100 Guilford St. (Aug. 8), 6200 Erdrick St. (Aug. 10), 3000 Magee Ave. (Aug. 12), 5300 Horrocks St. (Aug. 16), 6500 Edmund St. (Aug. 17), 1200 Adams Ave. (Aug. 18), 5400 Tackawanna St. (Aug. 7), 4600 Penn St. (Aug. 8), 2600 Pratt St. (Aug. 10), 5000 Oxford Ave. (Aug. 14), 3400 Princeton Ave. (Aug. 9), 1200 Unity St. (Aug. 18) and 4000 Creston St. (Aug. 12), while two involved businesses at 6600 Frankford Ave. (Aug. 19) and 3200 Ryan Ave. (Aug. 8). One more burglary occurred at a school at 6800 Cottage St. (Aug. 19), while one occurred at an unspecified type of property at 1600 Allengrove St. (Aug. 17).
• There were 139 thefts reported in the district, including 23 in the street, 18 at businesses, eight at residences and one at a daycare facility. There also were 40 auto thefts, four auto tag thefts and 45 thefts from autos during the period. ••
