The dedication is Thursday, Oct. 5.
The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the renovation and redesign of Burholme Park Playground, Cottman and Central avenues, on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m.
The $639,000 project was coordinated by City Councilman Brian O’Neill and the city Departments of Public Property and Parks and Recreation.
Renovations include new play structures, safety matting and retrofitted additions to existing structures. Features include picnic tables and benches positioned around the play areas with new paving.
An Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible walkway was created, spanning the play areas for 2- to-5-year-olds and 5- to 12-year-olds.
The parking lot was renovated, and lighting, with sonic devices, was added for security. ••
