Robbers sought in numerous Northeast robberies

Police are looking into a series of similar robberies that happened in the area.

Northeast Detectives says it is investigating a series of robberies with similarities that occurred from Sept. 24 to Oct. 11.

Detectives say they suspect a pattern based on the description of the offender, the weapon used and the geographic proximity. Detectives believe there are at least two offenders who are wearing the same clothing during the incidents.

Three of the six suspect descriptions identify a white male with a thin build who appears to be 5 feet 7 inches tall. Two of the six descriptions identify a black male 22 to 25 years of age.

On Sunday, Sept. 24, at 11:13 p.m., a white man demanded money at gunpoint from both registers at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 8101 Oxford Ave. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and several stolen items.

On Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 a.m., a black man wearing gloves and a mask demanded money and merchandise at a 7-Eleven at 1900 Welsh Road. He stole an undisclosed amount of money and 40 packs of cigarettes.

Two robberies occurred at the Sunoco located at 13000 Bustleton Ave. just hours apart on Monday, Oct. 9. At 2:18 a.m., a white male entered the store with a handgun, stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

At 10 a.m. on the same day, a white male wearing different clothing entered the store and demanded all the money from the cash register at gunpoint. The suspect fled after receiving the money.

On Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 1:30 a.m., a black man entered a Sunoco at 10950 Roosevelt Blvd. armed with a handgun. He stole an undisclosed amount of money and store products, including cigarettes. Police say he attempted to take the complainant’s vehicle before fleeing.

Police released surveillance footage of the five Northeast robberies. In two of the clips, the suspect is seen rooting through his backpack at the counter before revealing his weapon. In two clips, he is seen brandishing the weapon shortly after entering the store.

In addition to these Northeast robberies, Upper Southampton and Warminster Township Police are searching for suspects in armed robberies of two 7-Eleven locations.

On Oct. 2, a suspect entered a store at 25 Newtown Road in Warminster wearing a skeleton mask and brandishing a pistol. The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes.

Upper Southampton Police are seeking a white male who entered a 7-Eleven Oct. 8 with a black semi-automatic large frame pistol. The suspect attempted to access the cash drawer before snagging several packs of cigarettes and fleeing.
