The furniture store will host a grand-opening celebration at its new location in Holmesburg this Saturday.
Mealey’s Furniture Outlet will hold a grand-opening celebration on Saturday, Oct. 28, from noon to 5 p.m.
The store is at 8812 Frankford Ave. in Holmesburg, next to the Dining Car and located in a former Kmart.
The store is offering a sale of up to 85 percent off brand names.
The afternoon will include prizes, games, giveaways, a food truck, a Halloween costume contest, children’s activities, an appearance by Marshall the dalmatian and live music by LeCompt and the Philly Horn Band. Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham will be on site from 1 to 3 p.m. Mealey’s will give away furniture to 13 “lucky” winners. There will also be a chance to win $50,000 and a Caribbean vacation. ••
