In a Breitbart News op-ed, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Bartos pledged to not vote for Majority Leader Mitch McConnell “until the dysfunctional Senate leadership shows that they can deliver for the people who support the president’s agenda.”
Bartos, a businessman, is a former donor to McConnell, of Kentucky. He favors a repeal of Obamacare because of increasing premiums and reform of the tax code. He’s been campaigning to keep jobs from being shipped overseas and to help the middle class achieve health care, education and home ownership.
Other Republicans running for Senate are U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, state Rep. Jim Christiana, retired energy company executive Paul Addis and small business owner Bobby Lawrence.
Democratic Sen. Bob Casey Jr. is expected to seek his third six-year term. ••
