A 70-year-old woman was declared dead by medics on the scene of an accident in Mayfair at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say a vehicle in the southbound inner lanes struck the woman at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Tyson Avenue at 2:09 p.m.
The striking vehicle reportedly remained on location. Officials are still investigating the incident.
