The incident allegedly started as a robbery.
Police say a group of teens beat a man to death on the 4200 block of Loring Street in Mayfair on Sunday.
Kevin Cullen, 57, was found lying on the ground unconscious by 15th Police District officers who were responding to a call of a robbery in progress at 5:55 p.m.

Cullen, who police say was from the 2600 block of Southampton Road, was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 6:52 a.m. on Monday.
Police believe the motive of the beating was robbery. They cited a group of teenagers wearing dark clothing and one wearing a gray camouflage jacket as the alleged offenders.
The homicide unit is investigating. No arrests have been made. ••
